What makes a wheatland special besides the fenders?

Drawbar was different. Not so sure the snap coupler bell may have been missing too.

And when you put big rubber on the front and rears it really brings out the COOL factor.

Been a while since I've seen one and I forgot about the extra wide platform for your feet. Sure looks mean with that rear rubber !!

Gary, I think this may be the one that was at the 2023 Madrid NY GOTO. The guy that owned it is from Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec. I bought a D-10 and an IB from him several years ago.

Did any diesel wheatlands get out the door? And despite the swinging drawbar, the wheatland still had the snap coupler and lift arms? And is there any information out there on what the serial numbers were of wheatlands? Thanks, Darrel

Coming form the factory like that takes away any fears of breaking stuff by putting larger tires on one.

Just curious, what was the purpose of all the changes on the wheatland models? They weren't around my part of the country.

A-C was very late to the game when it came to a "Wheatland" or standard tread style tractor. A D-17 size unit is all they had. The D-19 didn't exist until 1962 and these models seemed to be 1959ish. Seems like all Wheatland styles had a wide-swing drawbar that was more rugged as the implements they pulled were wider in swath. No moldboard plowing was done in those areas to my knowledge.

Yes they built diesel wheatland models. The small number of wheatland tractors that were produced were in late 1959 and early 1960

As said above, according to Norm’s book very few were built. In the breakdown of models, the Wheatland model wasn’t listed.
