If they are bring back the good stuff, then go all the way, the 4070 w/8V92 Detroit.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

LOL!!  DD Engines are ALL Gone.  DD is wholly owned by Daimler, IOW Mercedes.  The Too Slow for the Road Too Fast for the Field Internationals are long Gone, 4070 tanks were far too heavy, 9670s were a improvement but not by much.  All IH trucks above a Loadstar were Boat Anchors for weight.

The entire chant we had in the Garage:

International, Too fast for the Field Too Slow for the Road, GO International; If it don't Run Paint it Red, if Still don't Run Chrome it, GO International!!!

I had a 79 4070B with 435hp 8V92 and 13 speed. Was a butt kicker in the day!

Wonder if they'll prefinish them in rust accelerant such as IH did? They sure rusted quickly from new.

VW ended up buying the name "SCOUT"... They plan to make that an OFFROAD Truck Division.... Maybe not the name of the truck... They plan to make a SUV and a TRUCK sold under the SCOUT banner...both electric.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

The original copies of all these "retro" styled vehicles had an allure, and personality of their own. So far, nobody has replicated that with their renditions. My opinion of course.

The best retro- so far for me was the Dodge Challenger,,, I was excited when I heard they brought the Charger out- at the time thought WTF- thats a 4 door car,,, doors werent even welded shut !! Lol,, But I settled on a Challenger, SXT very peppy, dam they are nice cars,,,, sound deading,, tight,

If its the Challenger, Mustang, Camaro... or the Bronco, Blazer, Jeep ... anything that is  REDONE 50- 60 years later will appeal to the 60-80 year old Crowd. Thats where the money is to purchase and live a little in the past... If one of the brands takes off in sales, then the Younger Crowd sees that and jumps in for more sales.

You got to admitt, some of these designers are pretty good at taking a 60 year old design and turning it into a 2024 vehicle !

What is Ironic is IH/VW is marketing a GMC as its Mid Size truck, so why not rebadge a Bronco?

That even looks like a GM product inside. Never have seen one in person.

I thought it would be like when Brockway and Mack shared the same cab; looked the same on the outside, but completely different interior.

Contact of mine in Houston TX bought one, is Broken, took to IH where told No parts take to GM, Gm looked said is IH take there, has been sitting on IH lot three weeks.  Has called the Dealer Sales Mgr and told him wants a Refund.

Similar Issues on PACCAR trucks with PACCAR Engine built by Cummins, dealers unable to get parts from PACCAR so send to Cummins, they look and state Not Ours.

Sounds like the Sterling and Dodge relationship in regards to the rebadged Dodge pickup. Nightmare to have serviced anyplace and both were owned by Daimler.
