Dang went to town and only had HIGH blower.....
came home, found out why.....
Think I'll write Ford about it...only lasted 26 years. Had a spare,'popped' it in...took an hour. It's in a nearly inaccessable area under the dash, passenger side...oh well. Replcing the door window 'privacy' glass with 'A/C' glass was EASIER !
So that's TWO electrical problems..........I'm waiting.....for ...... #3.

humditity..... truck has A/C, still icy cold after 26 years too !
replacement came from a '99,sitting on shelf for 10+ years, it was like 'BNIB' condition, just a royal PITA to install.....
masking tape between 9mm socket and screw really helped reduce number of 4 letter words....

Far easier than the beating I took to change a damper driver in my 2010 Impaler(4 deer two turkey), also has instructions as to installing what a whiz bang garbage idea, first fail warranty, this one did last close to 12 years.
My 99F250 looks similar to that for rust but on the Outside!!

Glad you didn't have to take the whole dashboard out. Most things on vehicles these days are easy to replace ONCE you finally get to them if you can even get them without major disassembly of the vehicle.

ha ha...
reminds me...
I need to replace the STRING that connects the 'PRNDL' indicator TO the gear shift lever
THAT will be an all day event,as yeah, 1/2 the dash has to come off....
might, MIGHT be a 'winter ' project, maybe, umm, I'll have to think about it,later,...
'funny' how no one here has offered to do it....jes complain about what gear's the truck in....

Have changed a Few, not usually the cable but the plastic ear it clipped onto, easiest to drop the Column.  Otherwise, shift all the way down count three back up.
