All, I just fished a complete rebuild on my CA. It has about 15psi oil pressure, however I can not get any oil out of the tee fitting on the governor. The supply line has a steady drip when running if I pull it, but it must not flow enough to build pressure and flow out tee with the line disconnected. It has great flow to the overhead. Thoughts? I can blow through all the tubes...

| Debris in T-fitting to head or hard line to gov? Remove and blow it out to verify clear oil path. |

with all the bends in that small line, not uncommon to get CRUD in a bend.. Check it real good for kinks.. If none, soak it in gasoline, or spray penetrant in it while hanging vertical and let it soak thru.. then BLOW thru it. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

| T760Allis: Your motor looks like mine. I rebuilt it about 10 years ago. Cleaned the head, block, pan, and valve cover of all grease and paint. I was in too big of hurry to paint it. It still isn't painted. |

I pulled the line off and blew air through it. Then I fished a piece of wire through it and ran some cleaner. Then I cut a little bit off each end past the ferrule and cleaned it up. I then connected one end to the head and ran the other into a jar. Still only getting a slow steady drip. Picture is for demo only, I checked this while engine running  Next step is to try a brand new line... just need to find some tubing |

It is. I have good oil pressure per my gage at the filter base. I have run it with the valve cover to confirm plenty of oil going to valve train. If I disconnect that line at the tee it pumps out a good amount of oil quickly At this point I'm down to: A) possible excessive flow to the overhead dropping dropping the flow/ pressure to this line. I picked the best rocker shaft I had and used the rockers that came with this engine B) tube has a some restriction it impeding flow |

At 15 psi, oil (high viscosity...), long small tube is probably all you're going to get thru it. Are you sure this is not acceptable? Bear in mind, lubrication of the governor is not a "high demand" component like crank shaft bearings. Maybe others have a specification of what the flow should be. |

Your OK... all you need is a random drip.. Dont want a FLOW that would steal oil from other areas that need it... Remember that SOME engines did not have a tube at all.. Oiled it ONCE and that was suppose to last a LONG TIME.... If you had a drip every MINUTE, that would be adequate !! ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

If they wanted a FLOW... they would have put a 1/4 inch line on it..... This takes the place of you having to dribble a few drops on it every week. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |
