This 1971 190XT was purchased by my father in law in the late 90’s. It was a wreck cosmetology and mechanically. He went thru the tractor, replaced a lot of parts, added the pie weights, fresh rubber and repainted it. He retired from farming in the early 2000’s due to some health issues and the tractor was sold to my father and used on his small beef operation. At the time I had no intention of farming and lived in town, I have since purchased my in-laws farm and began farming it approximately 10 years ago. My father who is now 79 years young decided he was ready to part with the tractor and it ended up coming back to my farm after a 20 year absence. It’s not perfect and does need some more work but I’m glad I could keep this one in my family for years to come.

Always good to keep a family tractor!  Good looking tractor, just turn the decals around!

That’s a nice series 3, I’m partial to the 190’s, a really good all around tractor. As said the decals are backwards but hey it don’t look bad. If you want to get new ones put on correctly a heat gun works well to get the old ones off. I just stripped my inclosed trailer of decals and they came right off. Glad you got the tractor back, always good to keep it in the family.
