Well my project 7020 has developed a knock that is intermittent.
Cracking the fuel lines with the engine running showed up 2 cylinders
with no change leading me to believe that the injectors need work.
I have never been into the fuel systems on an Allis 301.
Would it be reasonable to replace all the injectors with rebuilt units
first and see how it goes?
Are there any rebuilders that have a good reputation that are reasonable
cost and ship to Canada?

While the injectors may very well need attention, the problem is getting them removed without damaging the copper tubes they sit in. Regardless of how difficult it is to remove them, I would definitely have new tips installed on your injectors or someone else's rebuilt ones.

Any local diesel shop will rebuild them.   eg. Camrose diesel

The challenge is if the copper tubes come out with the injectors. Then you have to remove the head and install a new copper tube(s).   Makes a small job a lot bigger...

Great news about the copper tubes. It is a long ways to Camrose from here. I'll see who I can find.If I have to pull the head I might bite the bullet and redo the whole engine as a winter project.

Don't twist the injectors to get them loose. Best to soke them good with WD40 and try to pull them straight up.                MACK

I pulled the injectors on my 7000 using two pry bars for equal pressure after soaking like Mack said. Sent them to injection pump Ed who's on here.    Tim

All 6 came out easy and the copper liners stayed in place.
I also found a shop in the 'toon that will work on them.

It happened once in my life

its all the other times i seem to remember more vividly....

I have been putting copper anti seize on the ones I install for a few years, have not had trouble taking any of them out, but they haven't been in for decades yet either

So I pick up the rebuilt injectors tomorrow.
I can lightly coat them with anti seize .
Any hints for reinstallation?
