A lady Danielle used to teach with has a son with trisomy 21 (Down syndrome). We have heard him play guitar and sing and he's just the most awesome young man you'll ever come across. We got news this morning that he is in Germany preparing to compete in the Special Olympics! I've never known an Olympian before but I'm proud to say I do now. I don't want to give his name because I don't know how his folks would feel about that but you better believe we'll be watching for him and cheering him on. He just walked in the stadium. We didn't find him on the TV but got a panoramic picture of the stadium from his mother. They're sitting 7 rows back and are both VERY emotional. Prayers that this young man will be successful. Going to the Special Olympics is quite an accomplishment. I know his Mom and Dad are super excited and very proud of him. ------------- Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God. |
