Don’t know if anyone is interested and maybe there’s an easier way outside of chaining it to a tree limb but here’s some pics of a 500 loader to make it more like a 460.   The stands are an exact replica of stands from a 460 and the loader lift cylinders stay with the tractor (the line was cut and quick hyd couplers installed).   A local blacksmith did all the fabrication and welding as well as making the 4 mounting pins with grease zerks.

The line that was cut and couplers added is for the bucket cylinders. We didn’t have to make couplers for the loader lift cylinders cause they stay with the tractor just wire tied up

So... I'm presented every-so-often with designs and protos of concepts to review, and when I do, I look at it from a pretty basic formula.  I start by looking at the number of problems resolved, the number of possible problems a concept might create, how many components were added, and how much complexity involved.  A fellow engineer (Aeronautical Structures) says it best...

The best design has been reached WHEN:
Everything that can be added (meaning, solutions to problems)...

And

Everything that can be removed (components, manufacturing operations, 3rd party parts sourcings, tools (special and standard) maintenance, and operational complexity, training requirements, etc) has been removed.

in the case of your kickstands, I think you hit it pretty solid.  It's simple, robust, and hard to screw up.  Wink  Any improvements or features would lead to overcomplication.

Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.
