I just got a call from my daughter, Sandi to tell me she had to take her husband Jamie, my son in law to the hospital last night as he had a couple of seizures.  The have him in Emergency and have done a couple of scans and found a brain tumor which they think may be cancer.
They were all here at the farm yesterday for Mother's day and he seemed to be fine then working in the garden area.
We are leaving him in the hands of the Lord and the Doctors.
Requesting prayers from the guys on the Allis Prayer Team that he  will recover from this.
He's only 56 years old.

Thanks for the prayers, guys.  It means a lot to my family.  Jamie is in ICU for now and they are going to run an MRI in the morning.  I'll keep you updated as I find out new info.

They have removed Jamie's breathing tube and he is now breathing on his own, and they have moved him from ICU into a regular ward. They did an MRI on him yesterday.  we are still waiting on the results of that and what the Dr.s plans are.  Jamie says he is feeling pretty well back to normal now.  But they still will do more investigation and hopefully come up with a plan to alleviate this.  Some good news so far.  Thanks again for your prayers.

Jaimie's MRI shows a small tumor in an accessible location.  It is a very slow growing type.  He is on a med to prevent further seizures from happening and he will be coming home tomorrow and will be an out-patient until they schedule his surgery.  The Dr. says he will do much better at home while he waits his turn for surgery.  The neurosurgeon that will be doing the operation is apparently one of the best.  Thanks again for your prayers as we know they definitely make a difference

Phil

Update on Jamie.  He is going in tomorrow for another MRI, then the following Friday he has a consultation with the neurosurgeon to plan what and when they will do surgery.  Thanks for your continued prayers, and we are trusting that God will grant a good outcome from all this.

Well, the report from the neurosurgeon on last Friday's MRI is not so good.  The tumor is on his brain on the back left side which is the part of the brain which controls motor function.  They can't remove it all as it will leave him paralyzed or worse.  The plan is to go in and remove as large a section as they can for biopsy, then treat the rest with chemo.

I'm very concerned as I lost an old friend three weeks ago with the same thing.

We can only leave it in God's hands and keep praying for the Lord's healing.

Thanks for your continued prayers for Jamie.  He is a great son-in law.

Jamie had his biopsy/surgery last Friday and all went well.  Was all done in an hour and a half.  The Doc got the results and they have an appointment scheduled for today for another cat scan and then an appointment next Tuesday to review treatment, if any.
Jamie is feeling fine and is back to work running his home based business.
Thanks for the continued prayers and support from the Allis family!  We know it makes a big difference.

Jamie's Doc had a meeting with him to outline treatment.  They are calling his tumor a grade 2 Astro-cytoma.  it is a low grade, very slow growing type.  They are going after it with an aggressive treatment with curative radiation for 6 weeks, them TMZ chemotherapy for 4 to 6 months.  They will do MRI's often to monitor the size of the tumor and this will all begin about mid-september.
His Dr. is quite confident of a positive outcome.  We will continue praying for him and family, and many thanks for your ongoing prayers.
