Looking at a m65 allis chalmers grader with diesel motor. Just curious if anyone has expierence weith running one of these and if they are a good unit. This one seems to be in good shape. We have a D grader so i would think it would be just as good or better. Thanks for any input.

The D and DD graders were superseded by the M65 in 1971 according to an article that I have on compact Allis Chalmers grades from Construction Equipment magazine. The main changes indicated was slightly more weight and HP plus hydrostatic steering and new sheet metal. In January 1974 the M65 continued as the Fiat-Allis 65,
and the F-A 65B in1979. All were still essentially the same machine but with increases in weight and HP. A few months ago I came across an auction web site that had some F-A 65B's for sale and they seemed to be in $15-20,000 range.
