My 10 year old granddaughter and her friend were both killed this afternoon when a 4 wheeler they were riding flipped over on them out in back pasture .
Unsure of how long they were pinned under it before their older sister or brother found then but they tried to revive them but they both died .
Grief doesn't seem to have hit as NUMB is the feeling right now .
I have some information on my F B page and latest on other things listed on St Peter Lutheran Church - Afton MN .
A friend of my sons set up a go fund me page also for her , it seems they lost their rental place and had to move in with me after the full Covid thing and unemployed, he also lost both of his dump trucks and business in the ordeal leading up to now
Funeral services at St Peter Lutheran church - Afton MN on Saturday 4/29 and burial in church cemetery - Next to my wifes grave

My son and his wife and the 3 grand children have been living here for the last 8 months and youngest granddaughter had a school friend out for the weekend , they were riding the 4 wheeler out back away from the house so didn't see or know it happened.
All the police and rescue and medical examiner now left as did the police Chaplin.
Tried to get ahold of the pastor at their church but voice mail - and same for my church next door . Friend of son is here yet and he knew the police Chaplin as he was minister at his church a few years back .
My youngest son was here during this time so for me it helped but NUMB is the only thing one can feel now - then I don't know if there is another feeling one can have when 2 young girls die in your back yard !

Such terrible news Coke. I think I can understand the feeling of numb. Next will come the feelings of guilt. Why didn't I. Remember, life is not in our control. We like to think we control it. In the end, God has Blessed every birth with a certain number of days. We don't understand, but we must give thanks for the Lords Blessings. I pray for you and the family. Numb is a terrible sadness, one that we'd never wish upon anyone... especially not from the loss of our children. My prayers forthcoming.

Three weeks ago, a friend experienced that numbness... her neice was standing in back yard, petting the dog, collapsed in seizure, and died. A complicated type of brain bleed took her in the blink of an eye. 12 years old... just a baby.

Seems it has made the National news i some places and in most articles very little information other than 2 - 10 years die in ATV accident .
I did past some on my face book page to friends and on another site I do use .
And on that one the WRATH of one individual took it as a place to issue BLAME .
If one is not yet down someone want's to kick you-
NOT GOING THERE - Just saying to all of you your outpouring of kindness and thoughts is appreciated and welcomed in this time of grief . Today when i was having lunch here by myself - all of a sudden my hands started shaking and could not raise fork of food .
Just then the phone rang and it was a lady from church next door saying she wanted to come over with some food the ladies group collected today - not much but some things for self and family . It brings the fact there great and wonderful people out there who share their beliefs and their compassion , the good individuals we try t strive to be and i want to thank you all for your kindness in this time ,

Coke, I can't say I know how you feel, because I don't, I can't imagine the pain. I pray for peace and healing for you and family. Lots of kind words and well wishes and prayer on here, but it may pay to reread Bob La and SteveM c/il again. very wise words there.

As Bob points out, there are stages of grief, blaming yourself, and anger are coming. Keep in close contact with our Lord and Savior. Don't blame yourself.
