Good morning all. I need some clarification on timing my G. The service manual is a bit vague to me on exactly where the timing mark should line up when setting the distributor. Should the timing mark on the crank pulley be at 12 o’clock or 6 o’clock when the #1 piston is at TDC? I’m sure I am making it more complicated than it really is. Thank for any advice.

should be at 6 o’clock, sometimes I have to look at the hole below the crank start hole to remind myself if the back cover is off, remember #1 is in the rear!

Thanks Joe. That’s kinda what I was thinking but thank you for verifying that. Thanks for the reply.
