Don't see enough evidence or resemblance to any ring groove I ever used in past 40 years to think its a piston ring groove cleaner . ------------- He who dies with the most toys is, nonetheless ,still dead. If all else fails ,Read all that is PRINTED. |

It doesn't look like any piston ring grove cleaner I have ever used. I googled ring grove cleaners and it looks nothing like any of them. I have seen that tool before but I cannot remember its purpose. If I can remember, I will print off a picture and take around to my mechanic friends on Monday and see if 1 of them can tell us what it is used for. |

| I have one similar to that. Yours is missing the cutter that bolts on opposite the curve side. Since someone sharpened the curve side, is no longer useful as a ring groove cleaner |

| No one has sharpened the curve side,its made that way! I just linished it up to show one side of the blade for everyone.I’ve used and seen enough ring groove cleaners to know its not one. |
