Hi all I have stripped my G down for a restoration and have found that the right hand side axle housing has spaces on it it sits about 1/2 inch further out then the other side this is where the break housing bolts to the transmission is this normal or has someone mucked around with it it drives fine before I started pulling it to bits

Reproduction G axles are still being made today, so that should tell you something.  One of my axles is not original, but it doesn't bother me.  It is probably stronger than the original!
