went to Brush CO Monday to an auction, (thought I might see JohnCo there) went to gits a 3800 gallon water tank for a truck, thought it would bring $500-$1000. but NOOOOOOO! it brought $8000! PffffffT but all was not lost, before I left, I screwed the trottle up a bit on the "machine", and it worked! got stranded in Brush for 3 days/nights! sure was pretty sitting in the lounge of the motel, sipping hot tea, watching that "pretty" blowing outside! I did notice that if you live in a snow proned area, don't buy a white car! lol I would have been home sooner, but ole Smokey bears were sitting next to them closed gates on the I-76 ramps just daring us to drive around them! so had to wait that part out! dang...they is kinda narrow minded bout that! they musta listned to me tho, cuz they let me thru later then closed it back up right behind me! I did buy the old lady.....ooooops....I mean the loving wife a Christmas present at the auction tho, I thinks she'll like it! can't tells you what it is yet, but I gots it sitting on a trailer in town locked up in a building! will splane later!

You came all the way to Brush and didn't call me?  What kind of buddy are you, Shameless?  I guess you got what you deserved if you had to wait out the "pretty" storm.  Not a flake of snow here.  Check out my comment in the post above this one about Pretty.

Yes: Our economy is in such terrible shape that people can't spend their money fast enough. If things were really as bad the propaganda was telling us, there would not be so many new cars on the road and people would be driving to conserve fuel, like we learned all over again during the Arab oil embargo of the late 70s. Out on the interstate (or anywhere else) even if your going the speed limit, your just in everyone's way.
Shamless: all of your Flakes went north of me, NaNanNa

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.

If ya'll are traveling, DON'T stay at the "BORDERS" hotels. the beds really SUCK, and there are no comfy chairs in the room, just a small office chair that the nuematics are shot on!

I haven't been out to that sale in a couple years.  Not buying as much stuff as I used do.  Have just about everything I need.  Maybe next time you head out here, call me before you leave.

I think i'm about caught up on sleep now! i'm usually a day sleeper anyways, and being awake during the 3 days we were there and awake at the motel every night, I prolly got about 5 hours total sleep on this trip. PffffffT!

I just looked at the sale, wondering what you got for the old lad, er loving wife.  Thinking it's the 42 Ford 4X4 with the Chevy 350.  The only tank I saw sold for $8,500 which really isn't all that bad for what it looked like.

the tank did have some rust inside, really couldn't tell if there were any leaks tho. the dude with me climbed down inside, I thought I was gonna hafta call a fire truck to help get him out! whew! tank had alot of broken pipes and lines and wires, at least they were all on the outside.

Can’t remember off the top of my head, the last auction I attended. Much prefer going to an estate sale. Too much standing around at auctions, my back will spasm if standing in one place to long, gotta keep moving especially on uneven ground.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Estate sales here are just rebadged auctions, some get the Buy it Now Pricing markings where can bid for Next Day auction price provided does not sell, a lot of shills working those.

I don’t attend, or participate in those type estate sales. I will only go to those that have an item price tagged. Don’t do the online crap sales.

Heck Dale, I don't remember what the other post was but I suspect it was something about your pretty machine.  I'll have to look the wife's new toy up on AMAs auction list.

the auction was held during the blizzard, we were inside an arena at the fair grounds, they had a screen up and projected the pic of each item selling along with it's descriptions. had bleachers to sit on and a lunch trailer behind that. when we came out of the building on the 1st day of the auction, heading for the truck we were wading thru above the knee pretty!

Joe, they now own Sullivan Auctioneers, perhaps they had your name. Otherwise, who knows, they buy & sell these mailing lists-could have come off anything agricultural.

I have the 6x6 in a buddy's heated garage, can't get it to stay running, bought a new fuel pump for it, that didn't help, called a mechanic and he thought a new carb would do the trick. I have a new one of them coming, should be here sometime Monday or Tuesday. the old lady......oooooooops.....I mean the loving wife is patiently awaiting for her Christmas gift to get home! hope she fits in it, cuz I don't without leaving one leg outside of it! lol

dont know about Kohler, but many of them small motors have the valves wear in a little and clearance becomes minimal.. Warm up and they dont close all the way ... makes for bad running and poor idle....... If all else fails to find something, check valve clearance.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Sounds like quite an adventure you had at that auction! $8,000 for a water tank, that's wild! And getting stranded in Brush due to the snow, well, sometimes Mother Nature has her own plans, right? But hey, the silver lining is you found time to pick up a Christmas present for your loving wife. The suspense is killing me; I can't wait to hear what it is! 😄 Speaking of surprises, if you ever want to add a bit more excitement to your days and have a chance to make some extra cash, you should try out some http://https://joywallet.com/article/best-bingo-apps-to-win-real-money/" rel="nofollow - bingo games that pay real money .

I've been playing them casino video games you see in gas stations all over NE, there's no gambling allowed in NE but if you change what you call the machines, (called skill games) then it's o-k!!! but I win lots of $$$ off them! I play about everyday when I go in for coffee in the mornings.  oh...and the 6x6 Max is for sale...it's sitting on my trailer in the yard covered up.
