An AC forklift is coming for sale.  I have not seen it yet, but this is the numbers L80-FPL80-24.  Is the 80 for 80 horsepower?  What does FPL stand for?
I realize parts will be an issue.  I am assuming that it is an engine that had other uses.
Any help would be appreciated.

i think the 80 means 8,000 pound lift... or about 13,000 pound machine.

i though an FL was "Forktrk liquid propane" ........ and FP was "petrol"... or gasoline.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

yes, 80 means 8,000 pound lift, probably good for a tad more too !!
FPD means a diesel powered,THAT I KNOW as I have an FPD50-24-2PS
2PS might mean 2 speed,automatic.

I also know that the driveshaft U-joints( double Carden (?) were never greased. It needs to be replaced ( no needles...still works though, shhh)

Not too sure HOW you'ld get a 13,000# beastie up off the ground for service though...

http://www.liberatedmanuals.com" rel="nofollow - www.liberatedmanuals.com has 1,000s of manuals, if you put allis 8000 into the 'search' option it'll narrow it down to maybe 20-50, then download 'this might be it',open, read, try again....

Tilt the mast full back.  Place a big wood block under the base of the mast.

Tilt the mast full forward.  Tires will lift off the ground, place blocks under tires.

Tilt mast back and repeat.

I think the P means pneumatic tire.
