I was expecting a little ol 2 wheel unit with a Brigs motor on it. Good grief, this thing must a weighed a ton, was on tracks. I got it off the trailer and dug across my driveway. Shoot I was done in less than 20 minutes, went down 24-30". Laid a couple hundred feet of cat 6 wire. I tried for years to get the old gal to do this. She wouldn't spend the money. It cost $178.00 to rent the trencher, 67.00 for the pipe covering the wire, $22.76 for the elbows and connectors, i always have glue and cleaner for the PVC pipe. Plus had 2 grandsons for part time help. They had fishing to do first. We should have great internet in the honey production shed now. Feels good to get it done after years of wanting it done. Son said he'll be over tomorrow to hook up the wres. I think all he needs to do is plug the 2 ends in to the boxes. But I better let him do that. 3 days after the old gal passed on, the business computer crashed and I sure don't want to go thru that again by attempting to plug in wires in the wrong place.

Seems WI-FI  has replaced cables in many places - Son has a trailer out back where he does most of his work and put a router here in house that has a range of around 300 ft or more .
Then I do have a wire run out to shop area and other son has his own router there so he can use WI-FI out there for his business and phone streaming .
Things seem to be going wireless now for just about everything - then Bluetooth connections are in just about every place including vehicles, where pairing is a easy process .

Are several companies researching bringing better WiFi to our area so the use of Phone systems can be the next IP destination.    No longer a Hard Wire requirement except within the structures.  ATT, Verizon, some off name providers are trying to upgrade systems for better service and less downtime.
