I have a 40B with adjustable front end, electric start, and the 5 bolt rear adapters, also the hubs themselves are dished a bit differently than standard hubs. Hubs and adapters shown in parts book. Don't see too many of these at all. Believe they were marketed for a period during 40 & 41 as a deluxe B.

I have a B1

Tammy... the B1 is a garden tractor... the "B" was a 20 HP farm tractor made by the FARMING division. .... easily confused when talking about Allis Tractors.

-------------
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Thank you. For being kind. I honestly don't know much about them. But I have 2. The B1 & 712H.
I came to this site to try to find out a little about what they might be worth. Everyone on here has been very helpful. I'm learning I a little.
I've thought about listing them on here but I don't know what I should ask for them. While I don't want to "give" them away I don't want to look like an idiot asking too much. So, I've just been kinda watching.

Steve (ILL)

I think you are the one confused, not Tammy.

If you go back and SLOWLY read her original post, she is not Wanting to Buy a B1 Garden Tractor. She already has one, with a B1 Decal on it.

Not many B1's built in 1940

She WTB a 1940 Allis B with electric start, just like she stated.

   Gary,
Thank you for trying to help. However, I was the one confused. Emhoffc, is the one looking to buy a 1940B. I have a B1 (and a 712H), that I don't know much about. Steve was explaining the difference to me. I thought my "B1"
Was what Emhoffc was looking for. Thank you both again.

Hey Tammy why not just start a new thread in Garden Tractors, or Shops, Barns etc and ask the question on what the value of your units are? Post your pics, condition and location. You should get some idea of the value. Again just state you want to start at a fair value price.
