I had to pull the rocker shaft off of my tractor and will have to renew the head gasket wondering what gasket is the best thanks

The rocker shaft is held on by 5 or 6 head bolts on one side. My understanding is a head gasket is only good for one time compression

Clean all the oil completely out of each of those head bolt holes and put it back together. Don't even think anymore about it.

In the fall I swapped the cam and everything was good tightened head to spec and filled with new oil and antifreeze. Ran tractor without the hydraulic pump for about 10 minutes all was good. I put my resealed hydraulic pump back on and drove into the shop today and found I have a lot of milky oil. The oil pictured below has 20 minutes run time tops. I am pretty sure it's antifreeze I am going to pull the hydraulic pump just in case it's the new pump end seal mixing hydraulic fluid. The head gasket and whole inframe only has 15 hours at most. I'm leaning towards the cheap head gasket that came in the reliance kit. I don't think it liked being partly undone and re tightened. Other than pulling the pan and pressurizing the antifreeze where should I be looking next? Thanks

Forgot to add the oil that was in there before was in there for 3 years and when I drained it after the cam broke I got like 4 drops of pure water then the oil was as clean looking as new. The tractor has also been kept outside for all this time I assume the couple drops were condensation

Well, start by letting it sit for a couple of days and hopefully the tractor sits level. Remove the oil drain plug just to the last thread and slowly let out a few drops of oil. If there truly is antifreeze in the engine oil, it will be right there on the bottom, provided the tractor is sitting level.

The only head gasket that I could get a few weeks ago was from Agco. Others have discontinued the 301 and 426 head gaskets .

If you have drops of water at the drain plug, water ain't antifreeze. If you're getting hydraulic oil from your hyd pump, the engine oil level should show somewhat overfull.

When you installed the head gasket, did you coat it with anything or did you just put it in dry?

After having the tractor sit inside overnight I cracked the drain plug on the pan and had a couple drops of pure water so I decided to see how much pure water I would get. Well I got a lot. There was 0 sing of antifreeze whatsoever.

And now for one of my many mistakes: I did the cam swap outside as I had no inside workspace available at the time and when I did in October I removed the then locked up junk hydraulic pump and ran the engine with the new cam and oil and antifreeze for about 10-15 minutes and shut it down and put the hood,stack with rain cap,aircleaner assembly and a RAG in the hydraulic pump mounting hole.... My guess is that when the 2 plus feet of snow on its hood and engine melted and ran down the block the rag must have acted as a wick to wick water into the pan. Lesson learned:always seal any openings with a water tight seal! My mistake. Plans moving forward is to drain and fill with clean oil and let sit unran in the heated shop for about a week and crack the drain plug and it "should be good"
