I need assistance figuring this out.
I have a new to me 7050 that is;
Slipping like a typical clutch failure but no smoke or smell, the pto works and power steering when stall tested so I think the torque limiter is OK.

the clutch pedal will sometime stay down and need to be pulled up manually,

the inching spool will not come out all the way on its own when the clutch is to the floor which causes the trans break to not engage. The spool can be pulled out manually and then the trans break seems to work.

The second range power director will not stay engaged. When the pedal is pressed it will shift to second range and then shift back to low range on its own.

I changed the tranny oil and filter, but it didn't help.

When I first started looking into this I was thinking Power director re-seal. But now it seems there are issues in the power director valve or maybe the oil pump. I'm new at this so im hoping you experts out there will share your knowlege.

I forgot to mention that I cleaned the pick-up screen when I changed the oil.

Clutch pedal must come up fully on its own. New cable and fork bushings down below and adjust correctly.  High range button will always come back to low range whenever the clutch pedal is pushed in and that is normal. You'd better check clutch pump pressure on top of the clutch valve. Clutch pressure should be 195 to 205 psi throttled up. You might have a bad transmission clutch pump.

Also sounds like you need a new clutch return spring.
If it some times locks In and holds, PD needs resealed. May need resealed anyway.                       MACK

Thanks guys. I appreciate your input. I got ahold of a gage this evening, the top
test port was seized but I got into the trans break line. Pressure was at 156 idle and 207 @ 2200 with coldish oil (with the cutch in) so I think the pressure is ok. I took it for a spin and when it started slipping on a hill I shifted the range plunger and found that high range stopped the slippage. So maybe a leak in the low range system? My low trans pressure light would only flash on for a moment when I shifted the range peddles.
I had previously set the clutch cable as best I could but there is a lot of play at the peddle end.
The clutch return spring, That's the big one inside the canister in line with the inching spool or the one above it?

Return spring is the spring above pedal that pull pedal back.                 MACK
