I am looking at a six foot wide, three point hitch roto tiller on an on line auction. It's a Tar River (that's the brand name), and it has a couple decals on it saying that it has reverse rotation tines. Have any over you ever had any experience with one of these? Do they do a better job? Do they take more power? Any info appreciated. Auction ends tonight, so I guess if it stays in my price range, I have a decision to make some time today. Thanks in advance.

I've had experience with the smaller walk-behind reverse tine tillers, not a bigger one on a tractor. Reverse rotation tines mean the rotation is counter to your direction of travel, so your forward ground speed doesn't subtract from the tillage action.  It does make for a better job.
