well, I'm NOT going this year family things, and high fuel costs are large factors I am going to the GOTO at Clay Center NE tho,, Well,,dangit, have offers of a place to sleep,,,and if John makes it with peaches...I may hafta refigure...but it will be a last minute thing... |

Well, I had originally planned on going, but high fuel prices, combined with not being able to take enough time off at work this year are the culprit. I’ve bitten off more than I can chew at the farm, and have had to use more of my leave time because of it. But I think next year I’m going to thin some acres out so I have a more manageable load. |

I may just end up at Clay Center, NE, a lot closer and near the end of fruit season. Maybe Creston can come up to it, and Shameless surely can make it, what with the RV and all, he can bring the old lady, er Loving Wife along! |

Can't find one on google earth but Grand Island isn't too far away and there's gotta be bars there, now, whether they will serve you, knowing your reputation and all is a different question. LOL |

Well,, I have LONG wished I could attend one of Ya'lls "shindigs" to be able to put faces to names,,,,Ya know we talk on here for so many years and develop some really great friendships based on just words,,,,and those words have meant a great deal to me! With my wife now gone, (Dang it been nearly a year) I ain't got a good reason not to go, other than finding gas stations that will sell gasoline at the prices I want to pay,,,,,  I would like to meet up with so many of ya'll, especially ole Shameless hisself, ole Thad, Les, JC, TBone, Steve (IL) John (co), Darrel (ND),,,chit, just the whole Dang Bunch of Allis folks,,,,,  Long as it takes me to drive,,,I'd have to hit the road in the next day or so to get to Hutchinson,,,it way up by CANADA ain't it?? What is going on at Clay Center, Ne?? That's much closer to me,,,but they gots a lot of them dang TORNADOS this time of year, don't they,,,,,???? Maybe I oughta haul the D14 along,,Ya know,,,in case I gots to dig a quick Tornado hole,,,,,,

Joe, you and Michael ought to come up to Clay Center together. You could keep each other awake telling stories, Heck, if you two went a bit east first, you could pick up Creston and bring him along too! What a plan!!! |
