Joe, I will second Orange Glow's diagnosis, especially if the center is a lot sweeter than the rest. But those cute little deer like a treat also, especially dining in a neat well kept garden. Plant them some peas, they loved those. ------------- Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God. |

Thats why I wont buy store melons!! LOL!! never tasted a decent one from there. Melons are sensitive about their growing conditions so ya that would be one of the effects of bad conditions! ------------- http://machinebuildersnetwork.com/ |

When I drove semi and we was hauling watermelon the guys in the field in Florida would cut open a watermelon and cut the center out and eat it and through the rest away of course that was in the late 60s
