In MO pay a Once a Year $100 Fuel Tax and get a w/s sticker, no highway use tax on LP.

The goal is for those people to fill from their household lp tank. No road tax. Was done years ago, for awhile, then states cracked down. Funny tho, these EV zealots, tote the same reasoning of no road tax when plugged in at home, wait till the electric meters are installed that charge road tax for every kilowatt, the tears will be flowing.

Here the REA and Local Large Utilities require same consideration, to Recharge your EV at Home REQUIRES a 200A Separate Service fed from the pole or pad mount transformer on its OWN Meter, 90A circuit for 240v charging.  Can get a 120v plug in set up but uses MORE energy than the 240v charger feeds, six of one half dozen the other!!  120v only runs 20a but takes HOURS, if Not overnight and that may only make 75-80% charge.

Did the Quick Math on the 240V system should the draw be less than 80% of rated Safety breaker, 18,000+/- or 18kw per hour.  Fine if only takes a few hours to reach Full Charge and only a few days per week.  3 hours is 54kw per day and x say 20 days per month 1080kw/month.  That equates to a Homes Use of energy at my given usage and NOT that cheap at around $6/day or $120 + Road taxes per month.  Close to or really right at cost of gas I currently use filling twice a month.  Winter they have to stay plugged in to stop battery from freezing.

Would not a second service have a separate service charge for line, meter, etc.  Just more cost.

One would imagine the utility will have a ‘per month’ charge just for the meter itself, regardless if no kilowatts move thru it.
