While planting sweet corn with D-12 III left hand brake seems to remain engaged
when I reverse only.  What"s up? Broken spring fails to pull shoes apart?

I'm having the same thing happen on my 200. Left brake locks up in reverse. I've noticed it only seems to be certain positions of the tire rotation. If I go forward a few feet and reverse, no problems. Brakes are also very sensitive in reverse jarring the tractor to a stop.

Completely different brake systems. The D12 expanding shoe brakes may have a broken spring or dirt build up. The 200 contracting band operating an expanding disc could just be worn parts.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY
