I just bought my first farm tractor, so be easy one me. The HLCL is working inconsistently. I was wondering what it originally looked like. This one has all kinds of old wires bent to try and make it work correctly but it doesn't. Does anyone a good working one they could send me a photo of. Or could you send to a place that I could see one. Maybe I could figure it out if I could see a good one. Thanks Bob

the LOOP is the handle you pull on... the hinge bolts to the bottom of the seat... The second ROD below is what attaches to the cam on the end of the valve/pump shaft... If this is not enough, i can get a PHOTO of a real tractor if needed. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

Thanks for the replies. For some reason that link brings me to a website that doesn't work. I am trying to get pictures of what I have uploaded. The straight arm in both photos is the control arm. the other 2 arrow 1 is pointing the spring loaded adjustment screw that doesn't control much that piece moves all over the place. The other arrow show a small piece of wire, looks like metal coat hanger bent up to try and make it work right but it doesn't. Maybe i can just replace parts of it, not sure the best approach. Thanks for your help   |

Here is a link to an older post that shows how the controls are hooked up. Scroll down the post to find the pic of the controls. The bottom rod will engage the pto(you have to use the clutch). The top rod is for the hydraulics. The pto must be engaged for the hydraulics to work. the 12 year old link that mdm1 lists above has some good data.. You might want to read the first couple pages of posts concerning the the "two plates" in your photo. Basically your second photo shows two round plates on top of each other mounted to a shaft... there is a spring and clip that holds them on... Dont pay much attention to the adjustments screw and its spring right now... The two plates move relative to each other, them must be FREE to rotate and not stick.. Rust, paint, crud in this area does not help. .. Soaking both with penetrant and running them back and forth by hand might help.. On plate moves 10- 20 degrees, then grabs the other plate to rotate it... If they are not moving FREELY from each other, that is a problem.. poor picture, but this is the area to look at..  ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |
