Well, this is the day I have been waiting for. This is a photo of Charlie Widlund, who I have been friends with for about 20 years, and me taken today as I presented my M7 Snow Machine model to him for his AC museum. Charlie and wife Mavis own an amazing museum on their farm near Manson, IA. A year or so ago, Charlie was fortunate to buy the real M7 that I scaled this model to about 15 years ago. Allis Chalmers built 200 of the M7's for the Army Air Corp in 1944 (the year I was born) and shipped them all to Alaska. (hence all being white). There are a few other M7's in existence but I doubt any that were restored to the level of this one by the previous owner. It is now the centerpiece of Charlies museum and I am glad to have my model join it. As for the model, the (fenders) are actually ski's that can be mounted in place of the front wheels. It steers like the real machine, top is removable, as well as the jerry can on the back. I don't know of any other models of the M7 in existence, but it's possible.

Had the pleasure of meeting Armand at a show in Marshalltown, IA some years ago.

Gifted artisan for sure! Unbelievable attention to detail.

This is more than likely the M7 that Charlie Widlund had at that same show.

There's also one located at Witzel family farms near Madison, NE. Dave W and I had a great time up there driving a few of their ACs

And, I believe there's one more at the Heartland Museum of Military Vehicles in Lexington, NE

The M7 that Gatz posted is the machine that I scaled for the model, however, Charlie did not own it at that time. It was purchased by Rich Lickwig of Iowa Falls during a RV trip to Alaska, brought back to IA and restored. Rich passed away a couple years ago and his wife Peg offered it to Charlie. When I showed the model to them in Hutchinson the next year, he put it on the hood for photos. I decided that my model should join it again and gave it to Charlie for his museum. Armand
