I had no idea that I had such a huge AC toy collection only 15 minutes away from my home. Chuck and his wife has collected AC toys for 30 years. He has a dream collection, everything is cataloged, well organized, has every pedal tractor ever produced for AC. One off hand built pull type implements. I was so lucky with a few of my friends to see it before he begins to dismantle for his auction August 26,27th. Amazing collection isn’t even close to describing it. I know my pictures wont do it justice.

Only a handful of pictures fellas, I was there for 2 1/2 hours and I could have stayed longer. Chuck is 84 and doesn’t want his wife to deal with this obsession after he is gone. Goes up for sale in August in person in Pa and online. Everything has been cataloged, pictured so nothing can be sold before the sale. Trust me I tried!! It will be an incredible sale for 2 days. Please don't bid against me lol!!!!

Notice that cream wheel combine? Extremely rare since they ran out of orange wheels while in production.

Every item has its original box! He also has sales literature of tractors produced that had literature. His records are meticulous.

What are we looking at here?  Some kind of corporate award? Can't read the document.
Tried searching on the 'net, but no luck....

As best I can read the page at the right...

"A new concept in crafting a model was used to design this exact 1/16 scale AC WD
The duralite (?) acrylic clear castings reveal the inner mechanic ______ in brass.
This is not a toy due to the small parts and sharp projections needed to obtain the utmost in realization."

The logo has something like "American Society _____  ______"

I assume the D-21 and the G pedal tractors were customs, never seen those before.

I didn’t read the document behind the clear WD but I think it may be how many were made. The G and D21 are one off’s made by a gentleman in New York. The auction house will be moving the collection to PA in the next few months to prepare it for live auction as well as internet bidding. Selling by individual pieces. Will be well advertised in multiple farm magazines. Also has a few dealer signs.

Does He not have any children that want to keep his collection?

If I were in his shoes it would be very hard to let all that go.

That's a very cool collection though.

Not sure if they have children or not, I didn’t ask. Was quite shocked at some of the prices that he had to pay for rare pieces. He loved collecting and finding rare toys such as the Gleaner combine with cream wheels instead of orange because the factory ran out of the orange ones near the end of production. Very knowledgeable man and really enjoyed my visit. He grew up on a dairy farm in Iowa and used a G and WD.

Makes you wonder what is the dollar amount that buys it all. Then again, if I have to ask,,,,, I can not afford it.

That is an impressive AC toy collection. Dozers to combines. Love the round bale pickup mounted on the WD45. Thanks for sharing

That is also hand built by one of his friends. The attention to detail is incredible. The model 60A combine was so neat, I’m thinking it was the one that the WD had a battery power motor in it that turned the pto which drove the drive shaft of the combine turning the reel, shakers, belts. He didn’t turn it on but described how it worked.

Thank you posting about the auction and all the pictures of his collection. I got a very, very, small collection of toy farm tractors. Most of mine are Massey Ferguson and Allis Chalmers tractors. The few Allis Chalmers are the D Series tractors, most I picked up a the Louisville Farm Machinery Show over the years. I wouldn’t mind having a AC 175 and 185 to add to my small collection. I glad it online because I don’t want to travel to PA for the auction. I saw a lot of 1/16 scale tractors in your pictures plus the New Holland toys they are cool too. Again thank you for sharing.

My aunt told me about his collection a few years ago.
She then told me he was going to be auctioning them off this fall. I hadn't seen them in person yet!

Wes you really need to see this in person before he starts packing it up shortly. Let me know if you want Chucks phone number, I’m sure he will be glad to show it to you. Be prepared to stay a few hours, he likes to go into great detail. Maybe Charlie will go along with you.
