Just bought three 8 lug farm wagon rims at a farm auction. One is stamped 15x10. Another is stamped 16x10. Last one is not stamped anywhere. In comparison, last one is just a little wider than the 16x10, but same/very close on diameter. Wondering whether the un-stamped rim might be 16.1? Anyone know differences & if so please advise how/what I need to ID a 16.1 rim. - thanks

I'm shaking my head THINKING that some fool MADE a 16.1" rim !!

curious was I ...googled..

OUCH, yeesh, WTH....

from another site..
Had them on a Claas baler, and no it does not work. You have to buy the right tires and
their usually expensive.

Millertire has 2 rims !!!

sorry but it's just WRONG to me....

I guess im lost... The FIRST rim is 15 x 10... 15 inch ID tire and rim is 10 inches wide-- Is that the OUTSIDE WIDTH, or side to side where the BEAD sets ?

Second rim is 16 inch DIAMETER and 10 inches wide, so takes a 16 inch ID tire... again 10 inchs WIDE is pretty wide.. Is that total or WHERE THE BEAD SETS ?

Third rim is 16 inches DIAMETER so takes a 16 inch TIRE.. but is a little WIDER than the 10 inch WIDE rim..... Still takes a 16 inch TIRE...

where does the 16.1 come in ?  These are basically wagon or truck type tires... 15 or 16 inch ID and about 32 inch OD tires ???

looks something like this... if the THIRD rim is just 1/8 inch wider or so... then its still a 16 x 10.

!4" wide x16.1 diameter, 8 hole rims.  One source, web search shows others.

I checked a wheel off my wagon with 14L 16.1s on it. Could not find a size stamped in it other than what appears to be a date code. Best advice I can offer is measure around the rim with a seamstress tape where the tire seats on the bead. If my math is correct:
16.1 is 50.554 inches around
16 is 50.24 inches around

he said the rim is  "about" 10 inches wide... Do they even make the 16.1 DIA rim in a 10 inch width ?  I see 14" and bigger... Not sure i have seen a 10" ??

Me thinks buying another rim or so and going to 16 or 16.5 and using those tires as can find easily in wider tires .

Good thinking - thanks. Yes, my 3rd rim has a smeared date inked on it’s inside face. It’s bead circumference measures 49.875” though & it’s an 11” inside bead width. So I’m thinking it must be a 11”-16.1” (probably mounts a 13.5-16.1 knobby tire?). There was a 13.5-16.1 tire/rim combo on auction bill too. Maybe the heavier weight capacity of a 16.1 tire requires a larger size tire bead?? So smaller rim bead diameter for larger tire bead??
The 16x10’s bead measures 50.25” & it’s inside bead width is 10”.
I have different gravity wagons that use all 3 rims.
Most AC 7000 & 2wd 8000 series tractors have 16.1 front steer tires(14-16.1,18.4-16.1, etc).
