One of my 7060 s is in need of a starter motor,been told the old delco number is obsolete. Auto electrical supplier didnt want to help me anymore then tell me that . Anyone know of a replacement ? Either newer type delco or something else that will fit.

Nippendenso brand was on all the later model 7000 series.

Do a Google search for 7000 Series Gear Reduction Starter. It's from 2017 and I'm not having any luck finding it here. It's one starter option that works. Good luck.

Check with A&I, I put a gear reduced stater on my 185 from A&I. It is amazing how fast it starts now. A bit more expensive but money well spent as it doesnt run the battery down in cold weather trying to start.

Thanks for the replys,i hqve replaced a starter on one of the r-62s witha delco reduction and it works well,lighter too. Thanks for the link lowell and mike,,I’ll ring around today and see what’s available in oz.
