My cousin Dale started the day after you did, haven't talked to him since then. Hopefully you will have a good run this year.

YEP I had the pleasure last year to meet him, and his family, tour the place.  What a FIRST CLASS group of folks, and operation!

Allis Folks,
 Thanks for the compliments!
Our season is about 2 weeks late this year. Lots of cold weather.
I will gather the third run tomorrow, maybe boil tomorrow night or Thursday morning.

Had great grandsons tapping trees in the back yard and hanging buckets!

Here is great granddaughter Chloe helping in the kitchen:

So we have a little over 600 taps out all along the roads in the area.

I have moved my maple kitchen into the zone 1 of the shop. Very comfortable making maple products in there at 64 degrees! I made 160 jars of sauces over the last two days. Maple Mustard and Maple BBQ.

Next will be maple candy, so that I can get it to the chocolate shop for dipping.

Our maple Taste and Tour is March 12 and 13th. from 10:00 to 4:00. 19 sugarhouses to visit! www.pamaple.org for information.
Regards,
 Chris

Mmmm. That looks amazing.

Does this mean you can put AC stuff in the old kitchen space?

John, Folks,
I have been known to park AC  stuff just about anywhere. The old kitchen in the sugarhouse has had WD's and WD45 parked in there. But with the shop I try to keep that area open.
We have made 43.5 gallons of Amber syrup so far this season. Another 100 to go and we will be on a normal year. It was 70 degrees here today. Way too warm!
Cheryl and I gathered 600 gallons of sap today. Made about 14 gallons of syrup.
Regards,
 Chris
