I just bought a 500 loader that I want to put on my 190XT. It came off of a 185 so I don't think the axle mount brackets will work. Does any one have a picture of the axle mount parts for a 500 connected to a 190XT or 200? I saw a picture on the forum with a 500 loader on a 200 so I think it would be the same. Or even better does anyone have axle mount brackets that they would want to sell? Here is what I currently have for axle mounts. The picture is showing it on the 185 it came off of. I don't think the wood 2x4 is standard issue either? The 190XT has a square axle casing versus the round one on the 185. The axle parts curve upward at the back on the 185. We had one on an xt. I could be mistaken because im remembering from the 1980s but i think it is a piece of heavy angle bolted to the loader frame in place of the 180 bracket. It goes under the 190 square axle and 2 bolts go to a plate on top of the axle ------------- 1984 80780 1957 D14 DES 300 with 25000 engine 616 tractor |

| The 190 axle mount will be just straight back and under the axle and have clamps to fit the square axle. I think you could just take the angle out of the 180 mount and make them fit. Or would not be hard to fab new ones. Mine for the 180 came missing the clamps and I remodeled a pair from a D15 to fit perfect.. The clamps should be the easy part... Does not show options for a "2x4".... If you want PM me your cell and I can text you pic of the mountings or anything else I can get from the manual... I should ad that you find the main frames differ, but that's the concept...The tractor frame width may vary...I would have to go measure but someone on here will know. HTH... Dale |

| Joe...I think D17 is correct../The reason for the spacers.. My install manual definitely shows straight for the 190. Same concept as D19 and also was on our D19. (d19 had spacers) Did your reference pic come from a parts book? My parts book does not identify 190 mountings. Curious...Dale |

It's from the farm loaders parts book on agcopartsbooks.com. I went to the parts book originally but I did not see the 500 series listed. I now know it is under the category A-C FARM LOADERS - ALL MODELS. So, thanks for that knowledge. After seeing the part numbers, I also called AGCO to see if I could at least get the U BOLT but it is no longer available. Looks like it is a 3/4 diameter so will have to find something similar. It looks like straight brackets won't work that I try to manufacture since the axle position is wider than the loader frame. I also noticed they originally made a grille guard. i would like to make one of those too. | I sent you a pic of the mounting out of the 170/180/190 "500" loader manual...Was a early final drive different? Looks like the mtg also attaches to a tab...Also a pic of the guard. I have a couple of guards here and can get measurements when you get to that point. Haven't figure out yet what they fit....From your measurements Joe's pic make sense.....Dale |

One doesn't NEED a square U-bolt to make that all work... All you need is some appropriate length channel-iron, with holes drilled on proper spacing to set on TOP of the square axle, and some long enough bolts, lockwashers, and double-set of nuts to drop through. Channel iron over the top, with vertical bolts locked down, will have the abilit to be as strong, and probably stronger than a square U-bolt. ------------- Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest. |

No hurry. If you could also measure or estimate the offset distance I show marked with the arrow. My guess is that is about 5 inches. One option I have is to get something like a 6 inch by something angle iron and not worry about bending or welding but drill holes. I just need to know how wide that is.  Angle iron is 3”x 3”x 1/2” thick 40 ¼”. The
offset is 3” It would be 6 inches the way you are measuring it |

Thank you so much SteveMaskey! My current thought is I can get two pieces of 6 inch wide x 3 inch height of C channel iron at 1/2 inch thickness and 48 inches long and make this work with a few cuts and some drilling. That picture is deceptive. I didn't think they were that long. I hope I be able to report back in a few weeks on this project. I am going to go ahead and mount my side frame pieces and that will confirm these measurements for the axle rail that you have given me.
