To those that run a D series/100 series tractor(s), do you use the 12 volt outlet for anything? We attempted to run the monitor for a JD planter off of it, but that was an epic fail  . Just curious as to what can be ran off of that junction  .

DR... were they just 18 gauge wires ? Maybe a 5 amp load ? Not heavy duty 12 gauge for "OTHER" 20 amp loads ? ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

| The light circuit was on a 20 amp fuse and this connection was part of that circuit. 18 or 16 gauge wire. One tail light on an implement was what it was designed for. |

When I was in high school, we used a One-Seventy to pull a homecoming float. I wired up some floodlights on the float and used the connection on the tractor to provide the power. |

I did something like that to a friends 175 by replacing the power receptacle with a 7 pin round type and wiring it into the tractor with a forklift reverse switch to serve as a brake lamp switch. Worked well as his boy was on the HS football team and that tractor shuttled the team around the infield whenever a home game, track meet, or local parade was taking place. Plenty of lights and strobes too. |

Sadly, between the battery, VR, key switch, HL switch, the JD monitor went hay wire
 . After clipping off the 2 post female connector and re-attaching alligator clips to be DIRECTLY attached to the battery, all was good  |

I used the two post receptacle to run the electric speed control adjuster on the NH square bale thrower. Hooked it up under the dash to have power when the key was on. On the 190, I just wired in from battery post on the solenoid an extension cord cut off to length with female end, then used the male end and wire nutted that to the Vermeer round baler electric twine tie. for two years I would grab the plugs and connect to tie, and reverse connect to return the arm... until I mounted a momentary contact double throw double post in the cab and wired it for forward and reverse. was much nicer to bump the switch. and the plugs are still used for when hooking up the baler and unhooking. ------------- He who says there is no evil has already deceived himself The truth is the truth, sugar coated or not. A warning light plugs into that plug on our D15 Series II and attaches to a wagon or piece of equipment.
