I would say find someone locally that has a rollback and have them pick the B up and bring it to your house. OR maybe you know someone with a car trailer that you can borrow that person, their truck n' trailer and pick it up that way and pay them for their time and fuel. the B weight is about 2000 pounds so any 1/2 ton truck is capable of pulling a small trailer to carry the B. As Steve said, a 2 axle car trailer or utility trailer is preferable to a 1 axle trailer.... but can be done if your not going a long distance or higher speed. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

Timing is key, but visit Home Depot for truck $20 for 75 min and $60 or so per hour thereafter w/o no mileage charge. Take HD truck to local non-U-Haul place and rent trailer for $50-65/day with surge brakes or rent wireless elect brake setup if not on HD truck. While there, rent straps/chains/binder for load. My commercial flatbed hauler is $100/hr plus tolls. IMHO, short hauls are best hired out. In PA, you can drive tractor up to 50mls on public roads for repairs/moving as farm equipment. |

I bet a D-14 the Home Depot truck won't have trailer hitch ball or wiring. I KNOW they don't up here in Ontario ! How far are you moving it? I'd honestly be tempted to throw a post up on Uship or Fr8star and just see if someone will haul it for you. I paid a guy $600 to haul a WD across the entire state of Wyoming. Good heavens I hauled my D12 over 375 miles home on an aluminum utility trailer. Couldn’t see the point of the tri axle gooseneck for something that little. Cannot tell me you don’t know someone with a 1/2 ton pickup or full-size SUV. Few years ago I needed to haul a 6080 tranny and rear end instead of plastering my trailers with road salt I rented a trailer for $85 for 24 hours from rental place. 25 years ago I hauled a 6080 250 miles behind a 1/2 ton Ram. ------------- 8030 and 8050MFWD, 7580, 3 6080's, 160, 7060, 175, heirloom D17, Deere 8760 |
