IS a Dual 340 loader to big for a 170 Allis? Just wondering if I should put it on.  See it has a mid mount bracket, with front braces and extensions to rear axel. Don't want to bust the tractor in the middle.

A lot depends on what you try to pick up. What size bucket? One item to remember is the front axle takes a lot of abuse from a front end loader!

Good reason for a heavy counterweight on the rear hitch of any loader tractor

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.

Need to use the area between the ears for more than a place to set a hat.Front ends on any tractor can be overloaded.

A friend has backhoe so the rear is loaded plenty. Citydot begged the use of it, tested it to the max. Both front tires where old and blow, instead of other harder to fix things.

So for safety load the back end but within reason. So if the back end is lite you know your overloaded.
