Hi all, We are moving onto a property that has an abandoned HD6, apparently was used for logging, something broke down, he went bankrupt, and walked away and left it. Apparently it was running 5 years ago, and when we looked at it the muffler was half full of water. I haven't even looked at it a second time, but I am wanting to see what is up with it. I don't want to put a lot of money in the engine only to find out hat the tranny has blown etc, as I've been bitten before in a situation where I had to rebuild the engine before I found out that the rear end (hydraulics gearbox) was only worth parts. Are there any parts or donor engines/ parts available in New Zealand? It has the HD-344. Alt is there a readily available engine that would bolt straight in? | I had several of them. I never had 1 set that low in the front. Would guess the front spring is broken. Please post the serial number. The later ones had heavier crankshaft and other bottom end parts. |
