Has anyone on here flown or ridden in one? They are making Repo's of them in the Midwest, but not made outta cotton cloth and something more than a 25 HP Briggs motor. I'll never do it, cause I ain't smart enough to learn how to fly, but I think it would be fun to own 1. I could fly over Ol shameless house, cut the mag a mile or two away and turn it back on close to his house. By that time she'd be loaded up with gas and sound like a couple of sticks of dynamite when she comes back on. Oh well, I ain't gots nothing else to do cept sit here and think about crap like this. Wonder what would happen if a guy cruised over, OK heck never mind.

I've owned 6 ferd pickups and I wouldn't trust any of them to get me even close to your place. Something I've never had any luck with. I've put motors and trannys in all of them. Some of them got 2 motors. Never put a rear end in any of them.

old boss used to buy them old ferd straight trucks cuz they was the cheapest thing with wheels he could find, used to cut the key off going down the street then turning them back on when near a place that hated noise! most all of them needed mufflers after that!

I know of someone that has what I think is a self built replica biplane powered by a Model A engine.

They built biplanes at the Lansing MI airport. Not sure if they still do. They were fully equipped to fly. Pretty airplanes.

I have flown in a Biplane. Pretty sure it was "original", though obviously repaired and refurbished. Was in.....'94 I think? Was awesome, of all the planes I've been in, the take off punched you in the back and it jumped into the sky more so than any of them. Too cool!

I was taken on a short courtesy flight in early 90's in a rebuilt 1911 Waco. it had a Curtiss OX5 engine, the one with no valve covers, you landed and oiled the rockers by hand when they got dry. If I remember right he said the engine was a 1918 and the guy flying it looked to be pushing the century mark himself. The bips will do everything but airspeed close to twice as fast with two wings doing the work, take offs and maneuvers. That thing was terribly slow but quick to follow his inputs even at reduced speed. The OX5 don't have many ponies. Curtiss came up with it to power his preWW1 Jenny for an idea of the timeline. The bipe to put in your personal stash is a Staggerwing Beechcraft with a radial engine.
