quick question on dropping shaft off 6080. was going to drop oil pan last night and got it off and shaft is in the way. ive slept since then and dont remember is there a way to drop universal joint and get shaft off or do i have to remove the front axle and move it forward. looked in manual didnt find anything too specific

Slide the shaft out.

Leave the axle where it is.
