I use it on my one ninety/one ninety XT. On my XT however, it needs to be snugged up a bit, as the steering wheel keeps settling to the down position Darrel

I use mine when I stand up and drive. Don't think it was on lower models. The 190 was very progressive!

I set mine to the position I liked and haven’t moved it since. Neat feature for a tractor back in the 60’s to have. Can’t think of any tractor before that having it. I know AC pushed that feature in their literature and dealer movies. Not sure how much of a selling point it was but it was all about the console control and large floor area designed for comfort. And it is a comfortable tractor to operate so they got it right in my opinion.

I'm not sure if was available on smaller AC 100 series. I've only owned 5 180/185 none of them had it. The tilt and extend is nice in 200's, changing position on long days helps.

Yes , ALLIS was WAY ahead of the competition back "then" far most of their products, the PTO ( non -live) should have been addressed in the "early" '60's IMO

I have that on my 200. With the factory cab, I can't stand up and drive. It works but I've never moved it after I set it several years ago.

My 200 has tilt and telescoping steering wheel. Were both features included in same option or was it available with tilt only? I use the telescoping feature quite often but rarely change the tilt.

I remember the telescope feature as an option and maybe not on the first 200's, but later on.

Now my curiosity is building; have to see if my newly aquired 200 has telescoping steering wheel. I know that it has tilt Darrel

After looking in parts book on my 200 it appears the telescoping feature started with Ser.#4001 That's the same time the 200 changed to the "Gated" PD control. These are the 200's some people refer to as "price cutter" models even though they had upgraded PD control and valve and offered telescoping steering wheel.

The 200's replacement, the 7000, had the telescope steering wheel as an OPTION.

Oliver had a tilt/telescopic steering wheel starting in 1960, AC didn't have it until 4 years later. AC was a bit lagging behind on this feature, as well as the mentioned TRUE IPTO.
------------- If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

I finally remembered to look at my 200 to see if it has telescoping steering wheel; it does, and it works ‼️😃 Darrel
