Hi guys-This tractor doesn't get a lot of usage and now I have a problem. This summer I noticed that it was running erratically so I replaced fuel filters, drained the tank and then put in new fuel with PowerService fuel treatment. After doing this, I ran it for several hrs and get the new fuel to pass through everything. It seemed to run fairly well. Today, I tried starting it and it wouldn't fire. I have fuel at the diesel pump but there is absolutely none coming out of the pump at the injection lines. The fuel shutoff linkage seems to be working so it isn't that. Do I have to pull the whole pump and have it rebuilt or is there a valve or orifice I can clean? Let me know your thoughts...thanks. I just tried it with the throttle in wide open position. I cranked it twice for 30 seconds each. No fuel came out of number one fuel line... In the tractor makes no attempt to start. | When you disconnect the fuel supply line at the top rear of the injection pump, I would expect fuel to dribble from it, meaning the injection pump is truly being supplied with fuel. |

Roosa pumps that sit in old fuel tend to have the plungers get stuck, therefore no pumping. At that point it is best to have a qualified shop service the pump. Too many Do-it-yourself jobs go bad and end up costing more in the long run. Worst case is the head seized. When they run erratic and poorly, the pump is trying to tell you it's not happy in the crappy fuel. Thanks for the input. I took off the fuel line on top of the pump and fuel does dribble out of the line. those are just housing fuel on the return side. Fuel coming out there while cranking is a good thing, it means the head is not seized and is turning the transfer pump. Bad part is, it still needs properly torn down and cleaned up. ------------- 210 "too hot to farm" puller, part of the "insane pumpkin posse".
