| There's a topic on another site regarding the "height" of modern combines as far as his "new" barn door opening height. These machines can't be any taller than 12'6'' to legally go down the road can they ?? |

Our R62 with Mauer extensions will not fit in a 14 foot door either. Neighbor had a 9650? Deere he snagged and ripped down a power line we can clear so his was well over 14 foot. When the 52 was delivered the trucker mentioned dumping the air to basically just short of dragging on the asphalt to fit under one overpass. Farm I bought had a low hanging service line electric coop wanted $2500 to move it wife text the crew leader a pic of the extensions sticking above the line next morning at 8:15 am two bucket trucks were in the field moving the line.

| I always thought the Gleaner's were lower profile?? Do the Maurer extensions on the Gleaner go straight up or fan out? |

| My 62 has about a 3in extension added to top of what I assume is original bin. it measures 12 ft 3in to the top of that. The Maurer extension has a 3in frame fastened to that which all the flaps are attatched to. I have to drop the bubble up and fold the flaps to clear 14ft door. The flaps might just clear but too close for me. The bubble up shield will flex and make bad sounds goin in while raised. Wouldn't be so pretty backing out as it would hook and catch. |
