Went to the next town over this week. Not one new Ford truck on the Ford dealer. Only 3 tractors on the Kubota dealer. Only 2 Mahindra tractors on the mahindra lot but now they sell bad boy mowers and I saw small Bad Boy tractors. Never saw a bad boy tractor before.

Dealer here has a lot full of Mahindras. I don't know about the others! Probably be a shortage of Ford for a while after the train wreck. Oh wait, I didn't mean to make it sound like that!!!!

Kubota dealers here are short on inventory to. We were looking for an RTV for around the farm and there's nothing at the 2 dealers I normally go to. One salesman said if we ordered an RTV today we would have it sometime in January

My employer went to Ford, with a 40 unit order, all identically spec’ed, was told ‘they have no idea’ when it could be filled. Went to GM, got basically the same answer. Went to Dodge, they claimed they will fill the order, time will tell. If I heard correctly, its for 1 ton duelly’s, crew cab, diesels.

Local Ram Dealer has 6 duall Wheeled cab and chassis and some with dump boxes already installed. Some are 3500 and 1 is a 5500. Only dealer around that has 1ton or bigger dual Wheeled trucks.

Chrysler is using bad chips (have a buddy who's MIL works at a plant here in Texas) and hoping that they'll work until the warranty runs out.
Even semi disk break drums are getting hard to find.
You'll never convince me this isn't coordinated.

humour me guys...
If (IF) there's such a huge shortage of 'parts' , why aren't there HUGE, MASSIVE layoffs at all the companies making cars, and tractors and widgets ???
Also heard Kubota will have a 12 % surcharge on tractors by end of year, 20% on implements...so if you want it, you'll pay through the nose.... surcharge is just a fancy name for price INCREASE, and of course up her ethe guv get 13% on top of that !!!

The layoffs are beginning. I am surprised it took them this long, must've been getting strung along by their suppliers or something, but GM is putting a couple plants on furlough here in Michigan, and Ford is right behind them. The GM Delta Township has a lot and rail yard by the plant full, the old Pontiac Silverdome site, building long gone, is parked full of new cars, and the GM Truck and Bus Plant in Flint is parked FULL of new Trucks where the employees used to park. Those are just the 3 I've seen personally, I'm sure it's everywhere.

The local Lumber yard ( the one I frequent most) had to hire extra inside and yard help to get through this. It was getting to the point it was hard to find a place to park. Now the past couple weeks you may be the only customer there. That’s makin me nervous. We have 4 big houses and my crew has 2 rental cabins under construction as we speak. I seriously wonder how long this boom will last?

We just got a vehicle. Took about a month from selecting it to it actually getting here. Did NOT order one, one that was on the way worked out well for us. Ordering would have taken months. Anyway, sales guy told us our timing was excellent. Covid outbreak in Malaysia chip factory going to set things back even longer! Sheesh!!

I’ve seen on Facebook that many dealerships are adding a ‘market adjustment’ to the retail price of the few new vehicles that they have. I’m also hearing that many times a 2-4 year old used vehicles with 100K plus on the odometer in good cosmetic condition is selling for the same price as it sold for new. Makes me wonder if what we’re going to see market wise in the next few years will compare to rationing during WW2...

Sadly the market is not getting better SEAsia is in a Covid crisis where not much of anything is being produced. Just heard at work the other day heavy truck tires are scarce where 11r 24.5s are damned near impossible to find.
This is a tip of an iceberg been growing since the onset of offshoring nearly all our products support products by the NIMBY crowd pressure.

Absolutely. We've had car salesmen in town literally come up to people cold call style and ask if they want to sell their vehicle. Or know of an extra vehicle somebody has and offer lucrative money for them just to move some product. Three dealerships in town have all taken this opportunity to seal coat their lots, not many cars to shuffle around!
In the case of my vehicle, there was 1 used one available in 2 weeks, it was being fixed in the body shop, 2 year lease turn in. There was a new one, fairly similar equipment, available in a month. The new one was $541 more than the used one. 2 more years of warranty and over the life of the loan CHEAPER due to lower interest rates on new versus used.

I just sold a 2018 Ford Taurus for $2500 more than I paid for it 2 years ago. Bought a Jeep the Dealer had incoming. Used car prices are crazy! Have a 2016 f250 power stroke, no planning to sell but it doesn’t seem to carry the used car price craze

Announced on local news just a half hour ago as to 'Supply Chain issues are expanding' where is considered moving out into other markets where independent brand grocers are seeing issues and will begin affecting consumers more heavily.
Also a report on Google news as to some 40+ container ships at anchor(and increasing) outside California ALONE Coast harbors unable to dock & offload. Over 60 as to ALL West Coast harbors. Up to 8200 CONEX Boxes per Ship, even on double stack trains can only move roughly 400-800 per day OUT of ports on double stack trains then have no feasible level of locations to stockpile at other end awaiting trucks to transport with driver shortages.

Another point to go along with this Driver Shortage, local Scrap Yards are now witnessing the loss of their delivery drivers, one turned me away yesterday(08/30) as yard is FULL driver retired last month, second yard further out similar situation yet still accepted the tonnage I had to drop off. Their drivers BOTH retired within a week of each other, both in late sixties as was the other yard's driver. NO responses to ads for employment for a MONTH, made some calls where several yards are just closed, suspicion is Same reason and scrap is high again at $200 for tins, $215 for Prepared and $.28/lb for unprepared aluminum or copper.
Not gonna do anyone any good if cannot get scrap to markets as that supply chain also breaks down, scrap will skyrocket yet be worthless as immobile.

Yeah, thinking I could probably get pretty close to what I paid but wasn't looking to hard since I'd just need to turn around and replace it. Mine is in great shape at 68k miles! And with the gooseneck, thinking I could probably all a tractor out of them thar hills of yours! Recall being a bit nervous about that with my F150 and no trailer brakes when I was looking at your C!
