I met an "oncoming" Ford F 150 ('70's era) truck that was white/cream over a GORGEUOS teal/blue base color. Was this a factory "standard" color of this "sea foam" color ??

So Ford never offered this particular teal/blue paint back then ?? Just as well, this guy "might "have copied this AWESOME color scheme from Dodge

Thanks for the picture ( nice looking buggy btw), but this "blue" had a little more green tint to it, a BEAUTIFUL color scheme IMO on the truck I saw on the road .

I guess the best thing to do, would be get a hold of the Ford brochure/publication of colors that were offered during the production years of that model. My guess would be , the truck probably has been repainted. The color choices are endless nowadays with modern technology.
------------- I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

In the 1960s (and maybe into the 70s) Ford had a color called "Tropical Turquoise". Maybe this is the color you noticed?
Google search this color or 1970, 1971, 1972,... Ford pickup color charts/paint chips.

LOL!!, yes ,even my 2005 model is showing rust, but this buggy was pristine in every way . I'm just curious about the paint color that was on this truck ,it was a beautiful color that was reminiscent of a STUDEBAKER color

Sometimes I'm thankful for being color blind.

Much like what is a 'real' pickup truck, is this a real color? Who cares, as long as the owner/buyer is getting what they want, what business is it of anyone to decide if it's "correct" or not.

BUTT, BUTT, BUTT...... "REAL TRUCKS" have to be 3/4 ton and 8 ft bed.... so the above dont QUALIFY according to the DRUNK EXPERT !!

| That appears to be a 65, we had a 66, same color, long bed, bought it from the neighbor. Neighbor added air conditioning, GREAT BIG silver box mounted in the center on the floor. I think it was Dad's first automatic pickup, no room for 4-speed.

@FREEDGUY; Man I don't even remember teal being an actual color option until the early 90's. Then it exploded into EVERYTHING. I would say that it is a custom paint job.

The neighbor had a 55 F100 in Teal and there where more in town. It was solid no white. The son still has it at his winery so you can see it, even sit in it. Has been 10 years since it ran. If they drained the gas it and the 36 he had before the 55 should both run.
Could you get a 2 tone paint job from the factory on a pickup before the 60's?
