I have a chance at some 16.9's for my UC high crop. Currently it has 14.9 x 38's on these 10 inch rims. Am I going to struggle installing these wider tires on this small rim? If I do get them on, I think it will make the tractor sit higher than it currently sits with the 14.9's and I am ok with that. Note that this tractor will never do any real work...just a few parades. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks. Reference: Per websites, 14.9 tire should be on a 12" rim and 16.9 tire should be on a 15" rim.

They definitely will not look right. Here is a pic of a 16.9X28 on, I believe, an 11" rim. They worked, though they are much better on 15's, or even 13's. Not sure how hard it would be to get them on the narrow rims, That tractor came that way when I bought it. It kind of amazes me how that tractor has 'evolved' over the years! As far as use, should work fine for parades and such if you're ok with how it looks. I pulled a 3-14 plow with those tires/wheels, worked fine.  |

| It's amazing how muc of a bigger footprint you get when using the correct size rim. 10" rims on a 16.9 would be really tight. Myself, I would do it on a 13" but not 10" or 12" |

 The tractor on the left is my WD45 with 16.9x28 Armstrongs on 12" rims. The tractor has worked liked that since the 1970s albeit the tires previously on it (unknown brand) did look more normal than these L/S bar tires do now.

720 Man, that's a good one! Had a good belly laugh out of that. I think those are the Buick rims that get talked about on here once in awhile. They are in the parts vault now. Took them to Mo. swap-meet in 20 but they didn't sell. cwhit, it's actually faster now with the gas engine thanks to a D-17 governor spring.
