Seems Tesla and other ‘non-petro’ based Electric vehicles use organic wire sheathing as well coolant hose for the motors and some of the body panel plastics. Soy based that Rodents dearly enjoy chowing down upon

Dave, that’s been an on going problem with Ford, Honda, Toyota and most all automakers for about the last 10 years, not just EV’s. A chipmunk did over $5,000 damage to a lady on our streets BMW last winter. Automakers now sell and use rodent resistant pepper tape to try to discourage chewing visitors.
