Haim does great work. We repaired my 185 tach last winter. looks and works like new and he could keep my original hours.

Years ago our D17 IV tach was broken. Took it apart and the spring (like the spring on a watch) was broken right at the connection point so I bent the spring into the connection point and works great. Calibrated?- Nope. But good enough.

Tach Comment

I have opened up two D Series tach's and been successful with getting them operating again.  The hardest part is CAREFULLY opening them up with a mind to putting them back together at some point.  Fortunately, after a good cleaning and little bit of WD40, and back together, ......... they are still operating

One of the Tach's had some minor discoloration on the face plate that I could not repair, just clean up a bit.

Not an ASME approved procedure but I was satisfied with the outcome

My 1961 D 15 has no tach/hourmeter . Far as I can tell it was an option when new . Seems kinda crazy but I guess farmers just did tractor service once a year ? Thanks !
