what is every one spraying on there sweet corn to control broad leaves?  I was told one time 24 d could be used as long as it didnt reach the corn swirl?  any truth?

we always used 2-4-D on ours at about the knee high growth

It’s true about keeping it off the whorl, that’s what the label says. And there’s a height recommended as well, or the corn gets brittle. Been a while since I read the label as I don’t use it on corn.

I used some Cadet this year, I saw it’s labeled for sweet corn, but it’s pricey!$$$

Laudis is a good choice also for sweet corn for broadleaves

After it got so high, I had a rather tall pull type sprayer, I put drops on it and sprayd 24-D below the leaves. Always used a 4 row rotary hoe when it was little, then cultivated it 2 or 2 times. When we moved here and started growing organic corn just hoe it twice, and cultivate until it was too tall to go under the rear axle.
