As reported on KRCG Columbia MO, some areas received 13-14" of rain last two days, more coming tonight after midnight.  We had just under 4" here and the Missouri River is cresting as of tonight at 28+ feet due to upstream deluges.  More rain will keep it at crest for a few more days.

Currently Hwy 94 in Warren and Montgomery counties is closed water over road, Hwy K north of us in Montgomery has my cousin and one coworker locked at home with next to no reasonable alternates to get out as the Loutre River is also out, the Bear and Massas Creeks are out and on crop fields where corn was under 18" high and beans were just bushing out, likely many hundreds of acres drowned.

OUCH Confused, hopefully there's no personal injury involved with the recent/future  weather events in your area .

I've had 1.8" in the last week, not much compared to a lot of you guys but I'm in dry Colorado.  Fortunately, I believed the weather forecast and  didn't cut hay.  A few miles east of me received 3.15" in an hour or so.  A bit more predicted for tomorrow and Monday then back to hot and dry.  At least we got some much needed rain in the mountains which will help with the forest fires.  I70 through Glenwood canyon is closed because of mud slides caused by rain on a burned area from a fire last fall.

3.96" in 3 1/2 hours. Have a wifi rain gauge in the garden and was rolling over tenths of an inch every couple of minutes at it's heaviest. Suppose to rain all next week too. Wait and see.

Yikes. What does a farm field look like after a 13" rain?  Crops lost?
These big rains come out of the Gulf I suppose.

Most of these storms in the past few days have come out of West Texas & following a line about 40 miles north of I-44, that put them 60 miles or so north of us,our luck ran out last night, heavy heavy rain, we needed a little moisture but not all at once.

Weathercasters say October is 4th wettest on record since 1896. Have received more rain this month than June,July, and August combined

Between Sunday/Wednesday/Thursday I had 4.3". It came pretty slowly, very little ran off and the ground is surprisingly firm. We were very dry, glad I'm dine combining.

Neighbor still has a lot of corn and some beans standing.

My gauge has accumulated 4.4 in. for the last 9 days. Lots of small puddles where you can see in the harvested bean fields. Still lots of crops waiting to be harvested around here. Not sure why more beans weren't harvested back when the weather was nice. Saw a corn field with a few light ruts yesterday afternoon.

In response to your "why-no- bean -harvested" , apparently there's more of an issue with the corn going down and the local E-PLANT is paying MAJOR $$$ for new crop "HERE" Smile
