Anyone running something along the lines of a new holland 216 or Vermeer r2300 behind a 190xt? How well do the hydraulics handle running a couple orbit motors?

I've been using a NH 216 rake for many years behind a D17IV, so I'm sure a 190XT would be fine. My brother runs one with a 170.

I use to have a H3 crawler loader/backhoe with no pto and used it's hydraulics and an orbit motor to drive a brush hog with good success.

I have been looking at them as well. There are almost none in the area which seems odd to me. I do see some vermeer’s. I would like to know how well they clean the ground compared to a 256?

We don’t have any I know of close by. Seen one on big iron and thought it looked like a darn nice setup. See a few Vermeer rakes for sale here but mostly wheel takes because people around here are taking corn stalks and the big wheels kinda float up and over the rows as they go.

This isn’t really hay country but we put up a bit for ourselves and do some custom work and a v rake would sure make things go a whole lot quicker for a guy who does everything after working a Full time job in town.

Thank you for all the help guys I’m sites like everything else it’ll go for more than I can spend at the moment but at least not I know the tractor should handle it fine.

How well do you like the 216? Anything major to look out for other than the normal NH rake issues?

Dave, I'm happy with the rake, no major problems. Very easy to set out and in again. My neighbor has one that gets used on rough ground and it's held up well.

I have a Vermeer R2300 and pull it with a 175. It works well.
