Beautiful afternoon to make some beautiful orchard grass hay, earliest that we ever made hay that I can remember.

Great pictures !! I miss baling hay/straw, preferred to be the stacker myself Big smile. Did you install the grab handle on the right of the hood or is that a factory option ?

We use to try to be baling our fescue and orchard grass hay by now, maybe by the first week of May weather permits.

My hay is starting to head out, but I"m still 2 to 3 weeks away. Know of one guy who has hay down and may bale today, but he is big rounds. We have had really iffy weather....so not sure what he was thinking. Day temps in 60's, low last night 40's. Looking at 7 straight days with chance of rain, so he will be baling today regardless of dry or not.

In a few weeks, weather should be temps in upper 80's, lows in 60's. D15 used to rake and tedder is still in pieces, so no rush for me.

There is a spiffy looking 7010 collector owned in the shop that I've offered to put a few hours on running the rake. Didn't get far with that one.

The grab handle was on it when I bought it, all XT’s that I’ve seen had them on both sides although I only have left hand steps.

Forgot to swing the drawbar to the right to offset the bailer which would have prevented the tire partially running over the windrow.

The D-10 series III only has the grab handle on the left side. Anyone know why? Also the head light eyebrow is only on the left. How come?

Between your '68 tach and the grab bar, I'm beginning to think our '68 XT is a morphadite Confused.Ours has 11/16's on the front though Big smile. There's no holes in the sheet metal on the R/H side of ours to accept a bar .

Nice pics - but in my opinion its just a little early - let that under growth grow ,, the stems that stick up 2 feet dont mean much

I have had my XT about 5 years. I can only go by the serial number. I can tell you it has a different engine in it due to numbers on the block. What changes the previous owner did I have no idea. I didn’t notice the engine change until I stripped it down to paint it. Do I have an original 190XT? Absolutely not, but it doesn’t really matter to me. I haven’t changed anything on it except adding a oil pressure gauge. I have replaced or repaired defective parts, clutch, and painted it. She is what she is, brings a smile to my face every time I fire it up.

The hay was ready, already headed out. Warm temperatures over the past month really brought it on. Most farmers in our area have their first cutting done. Some made theirs 2 weeks ago.

Looks like nice quality hay in those rows. Orange tractors always look better to a green field in my opinion. Nice pictures.

Made some more nice hay today and coached my daughter-in-law on driving the 6060. She did an awesome job and was a quick learner. After 3 rounds she had it down pat. Back to the wagon I went with my son and brother.

Dad's 1965 190XT has the right grab handle AND the step that is about like the little step on the left side. It was a factory option to have the right step. Many, I suspect, were removed to accommodate a cab or whatnot but that is purely a guess on my part.

You made me have to look-LOL. Dad's 1966 190XTD. Yup, grab handle on the right hand side has always been there as far back as I can recall. Same goes for the foot step too.
